Yesterday some poor soul left their vacation box of groceries in the parking lot of Hart's Gas station where Aaron works. It was a Costco box full of Nutrigrain bars, cereal, milk, bread tortillas, peanut butter and jelly. And now I don't have to go shopping this week... but I can't help thinking about that poor family who probably just took the box out to find something. It was out there for like five hours and noone came to claim it... lame that we took it? or totally awesome that we don't have to buy lunches for a week?
Also yesterday my eye did this really freaky thing where the cornea looked like a giant blister around the brown part of my eye (iris?). It was sick. Should I be sharing this with you? maybe not, but it was really sick. It looked like my eye was just full of liquid and I was afraid it could burst. The strange part is that it didn't really itch or anything, and it wasn't watering a whole lot, so I went to an Urgent Care and they fed me a popsicle. Oh yeah and they fixed my eye too. They dropped antihistamines into my eyeball and everything was fine, apparently my body just reacts really weird to allergies.
Tonight I'm going to my first Young Women activity as a Leader. I'm the Laurel Advisor. Weird! I feel like it was just a month ago I was crocheting something with my own Leaders. I give my first lesson in a few weeks, and I'm really excited. I just want to get to know the girls, and have fun!
Lately I've tried to make it a goal to do something every night and more importantly every weekend. I feel like my weeks are structured enough with work and school and grocery shopping and cooking church callings, church on Sunday, family dinners... etc. It's just a busy busy life, not that it's any busier than anyone else's, but when Saturday rolls around I just want to sleep in and sit around all day. Does anyone else have this problem? Where you just wanna go brain dead after a long day/week/month/hour? What a waste of time! And time is just flying. I've been married for almost 11 months.
Anyway, life is good. We are happy, very healthy (minus weird eye thing). We are both going to go to school in the fall, and working working working our souls away.
I was really worried about it due to the allergies and the fact that I totally missed Packet Pick-up time. But, it rained the day before washing all of the pollen away, and I ran my best and fastest 3.1 miles ever.
